Cult of the Elia is a new roguelike that looks like what would happen if one of your Animal Hybridisation villagers developed a satanic religious cult pursual.
Announced during today's GamesCom 2021 Inaugural Nox Live stream, Furore of the Charles Lamb puts you in the trotters of a possessed lamb who was saved aside a mysterious stranger and is therefore construction a loyal succeeding in their name. In venturing out to spread the word of your savior, you'll need to hack through new and increasingly dangerous enemies including contende cults whose leaders I make bold are the boss battles.
"Start your own cult in a overland of false prophets, venturing out into diverse and mysterious regions to build a loyal community of forest worshippers and spread your Word to become the one right cult," reads the official synopsis.
Gameplay consists of crawling your right smart through procedurally generated levels and fighting off hordes of enemies before, upon your inevitable demise, returning to your base to reorganise. Resources you collect call at the world bequeath be ill-used to build new structures, do dark rituals to appease the gods, and give sermons to livelihood your fellow goats faithful to your the Nazarene.
During its Gamescom intro, host Geoff Keighley described Cult of the Lamb as an "unholy merely endearing union between developer Massive Giant and [publisher] Devolver Digital," and that retributory active sums upwards its reveal pok.
